Original Format: lantern slide; black and white; 3.25 in. 4 in. Condition: The slide is in good condition. Dirt is trapped between the glass plates. The tape holding the slide together is in good condition. There are four labels affixed to one side. Printed on one label in blue ink is "625". Printed on a second label in black ink is "1028". Handwritten on one label is the title "C.S.N.S. Library". The final label is a small gold star.

abstract
A large group of male and female students studying beneath the large central dome of the Library (later Carter Hall). The room is filled with rows of wooden tables and chairs. Along the most distant wall are wooden bookshelves. Sculptures can be seen in one corner, including a reproduction of the Venus de Milo and a marble bust (possibly of Johan Heinrich Pestalozzi which was a gift from the class of 1893). The two arched windows feature stained glass, which were gifts to the College from the class of 1907. note:cdpDigSpecs
