abstract
The following abstract is taken from the introductory paragraph of the thesis. "Our purpose is not to discuss the juvenile work from the basis of the operation and propriety of the statutes, but to depict peculiar problems presenting themselves to a juvenile court having jurisdiction over a large rural territory and population, the obstacles in the way of the proper functioning of the court, and how we have attempted to meet the problems and overcome the obstacles, with a brief discussion of our successes and failures."
